BIOGRAPHY OF ALIZZE
Alizee Jacotet was born on August 21, 1984 in Ajaccio, Corsica(France). She began to take dance lessons when she was five year old.She had a happy childhood with her parents and her little brother Johann. In 1995, she entered a drawing contest which she won, her design for an airplane being chosen out of more than 6,000. A real plane was named Alizee and her family won a trip to the Maldives.
In November 1999, "Graines de Stars" talent show, presented by Laurent Boyer, comes to Ajaccio. For Alizee, who - at that time - wanted to become a dance
teacher, this was the perfect occasion to be seen, but it was her singing skills that impressed the show staff and got her selected.
The performance led to an audition to record "Moi... Lolita" in 2000 in front of pop star Mylène Farmer and producer Laurent Boutonnat. She has since released
three album - first two of which were composed by Laurent Boutonnat and written by Mylene Farmer.Her first album was Gourmandises which received Platinum certification. By this time the media started to pay attention to the "Alizee phenomenon".From then Alizee kept her pace in music industry.
After only 4 months of career, on November 17, 2000, Alizee surprisingly wins her first award: the "M6 award of the French-speaking revelation of the year".
On February 25, 2003 her new single "J'en ai marre!" comes out, followed by her second album "Mes Courants Electriques" on March 18.
Alizée married fellow French singer Jérémy Chatelain in late 2003.Since her marriage she took a break from singing, but returned with a new album, titled Psychédélices on December 3, 2007.
Alizee gives birth to her daughter, Annily.
